
Executive Stuart Pittman of Anne Arundel County and the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) announced the availability of $1 million in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding for nonprofit grants.
“Strengthening nonprofit organizations strengthens the community as a whole,” said County Executive Pittman. “We would like to thank the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and the non-profit community at large for the work they have done to identify and address the critical needs of their residents as they recover from the pandemic, and the work they continue to do when and where. The $10,000 to $50,000 grant will provide financial support to eligible nonprofits that identify solutions to service needs and gaps identified in the 2022 Community Needs Assessment report Poverty Amid Plenty VII: Moving Forward Together. increase. Grant recipients must demonstrate sustained income, loss of revenue, and/or increased programming or expenses due to the impact of COVID-19 on the communities they operate or serve. The application portal will open on October 14, 2022 and close on November 18, 2022.
Organizations can use the funds to support programs that provide vital services in their communities. Supporting nonprofits in communities affected by COVID-19 will be a priority. To help vulnerable communities and communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic.

CFAAC President and CEO Mary Spencer said: “We hope that this funding will alleviate some of the burden caused by the pandemic and help these nonprofits move forward to a better place to serve the people in our communities. ”
Successful funding proposals will match service needs and gaps identified in the 2022 Community Needs Assessment report for inclusion.

Applications are accepted through an online portal. Grant guidelines and application materials are available here. The application portal will be open on October 14, 2022. All applicants must be an Anne Arundel County 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves communities within the county. Grant applications of $10,000 to $50,000 will be considered and the funds will be used by him from February 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023.
