Job Description
Firebird’s finance team is looking to fill their newly created role in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment. This role requires great attention to detail and multitasking ability. The ideal candidate is a talented entrepreneur who is ready to roll up their sleeves and jump into the job at hand.
Required function
- Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller and Vice President Finance/Shared Services Controller
- Unique full-cycle accounting process – GL, AR, AP, reconciliation
- Unique month-end closing – accruals, prepayments, expense reports, credit cards, payroll
- Support onboarding and accounting for portfolio companies and subsidiaries
- Support the creation and distribution of regular report packs for stakeholders
- Ensure complete and accurate synchronization of plug-in software with GL (e.g. Concur)
- Audit and analyze financial statements and reports of subsidiaries and parent companies
- Seek compliance with all tax-related items and deadlines, domestically and internationally
- Support the development of the shared services sector and provide resources for the various activities of the subsidiaries
- Produce regular, insightful and accurate management reports for internal and external use.
Qualification
- 3-5 years of accounting experience. Experience in a new/young/growing company +
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Advanced Degree or CPA+
- Cross-functional/operational driven with good knowledge of technical accounting
- Experience in research, implementation and optimization of information systems. Major ERP+
- Excellent ability to work independently and manage both upwards and downwards
- Knowledge of the music and entertainment industry. Deals, Contracts, Royalties +
- Strong Excel and reporting skills. Big data and analytics experience +
