The City of Los Altos has promoted June Du from Finance Manager to Finance Director. Effective October 3.
As Finance Director, Mr. Du will oversee city-wide financial activities and operations, including overseeing budgeting and accounting procedures. She also works closely with the Finance Committee as a staff liaison and advisor.
City Manager Gabriel Engeland said: “June is well respected within the organization and will continue to improve the finance department and the city in her new role. We have been instrumental in finding solutions and streamlining the year-end and audit processes.”
Since joining the city staff in 2021, Du has managed the day-to-day financial operations, the year-end closing process, and the annual audit for 2020-2021. As finance manager, she helped reorganize the finance department, implement modern data collection procedures, and train finance staff across the city.
“Working with the finance department and other members of the Los Alto team was a lot of fun,” says Du. “We look forward to building on that progress for the benefit of the Los Altos community.”
