The National Salvation Army Office said Wednesday that Commissioner Bill Bramford III, the agency’s eastern territories commander, offered to match all donations to registered kettle locations in Stark County on Friday. Announced.
The effort is part of a national Red Kettle Challenge that aims to “double the donation” and “double the impact,” the Salvation Army said.
Donations to the kettle allow the Salvation Army to provide community service and other programs throughout the year.
Major Tara Harrison of the Alliance’s Salvation Army said, “The funds raised are very valuable to us as they allow us to serve more people in the Alliance.” Serving more than 400 families, throughout the year, the funds will help provide food, financial assistance and basic needs to those in need in the Alliance.”
Salvation Army centers in Alliance, Canton, and Massillon all have registered locations for Red Kettle.
